Therapist Profile:

Bill Pirrie qualified as a sport therapist in 1997, achieving a Diploma for management of injuries by the Football Association. Since retiring from the Fire Service in 2007 Bill has completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Therapy, attaining a 1st class honours degree at the University of Central Lancashire.

Bill setup BODY-FIX Sport Injury and Rehabilitation to offer a range of physiotherapy and musculoskeletal services services in Liverpool and Merseyside.

Brief History:

Bill was the senior physical education officer with Merseyside fire service, with responsibility for designing and implementing physical education courses for fire service instructors.

Bill introduced the concept of Firefit Kids to Merseyside fire service working within schools in Merseyside and promoting healthy living and physical activity for young people.

Bill is the head coach at Aintree Fitness and Circuit Training club which he has been running for 17 years.

Bill has worked with several sporting clubs professional, semi professional and amateur level as a strength and conditioning coach, fitness advisor and sport therapist:

Knowsley Youth Dallas Cup Squad – Several junior football clubs, both male and female

Sarah Jones Bsc (Hons) MSST

Sarah qualified as a graduate sport therapist in July 2010 from the University of Central Lancashire, gaining a 1st class honours degree. She is now playing for Preston North End Womens Football Club. As a therapist Sarah has experience working within professional clubs such as  Wigan Warriers RFC and Preston North End.

David Eaton Bsc(Hons) MSCP

David works with elite athletes in his current role as physiotherapist. He also has a strong NHS background; with experience in a wide range of areas, treating a diversity of patients. David also played professional football before embarking upon a career in physiotherapy.
